This year’s traditional Matzo ramble took place in Lee Valley Park. After the first challenge of realising that there were two places half a mile apart that each sounded like the meeting point, Fishers Green, the group united for a ramble. The second challenge was the weather – it was really touch and go as to whether we would go ahead with the walk, much less picnic; the forecast was atrocious! But by some miracle there were only a few drops, and so we took in the lakes, rivers and wildlife of the park, with our varied group of adults and children (some on bicycles leading the way) and dogs. The ramble was followed as usual by a very sociable matzo picnic. Despite the weather, it was a very enjoyable day out for everyone and we were already talking about where to go next year!
